Meet Information
Coaches,
We are excited about your choice to open your team's season at the Tryon Twilight relays. We will again mirror what we did last year with the start, exchange zone and finish inside the main arena under lights, live DJ and Jumbotron.
Parents and spectators will have arena seating and multiple food options.
Please pay attention to specific notes for parking, team set up and format. Please feel free to pass this information to your teams parents.
Parking: team buses will be directed around the back of Facility for access and set up in main arena. Team tent areas will be in center of Main Arena and agacent arena at stadium entrance as space needs dictate.
Food options and catering available for team and individuals. Location will be setup in Team areas with Boxed Sandwich ( Ham, Turkey, or Vegetarian options) meals including chips and dessert at $13 per athlete. Should you wish to plan a full team preorder ahead please complete attached order form and email back to aheatherly@tryon.com
Spectators will be directed to the front of the Tryon Facility for parking and access. A $10 vehicle fee will be charged.
Meet format: Teams will be comprised of 2 athletes for all divisions.
Coaches will receive 2 chips per team and will be assigned a name ie: Polk County 1, AC Reynolds 1 and so forth.
We will record teams by number. Open races will be chipped and timed for fun
Varsity Boys/Girls each runner will cover a 2K loop with runner #1 running loop 1 and 3 and runner #2 running loop 2 and 4 for an 8K total distance
JV Boys/Girls each runner will cover a 2K loop once for a 4K total distance
Open race Men/Women/Mixed same format as JV for 4K total distance

7:15pm JV Boys 4K Relay
7:35pm JV Girls 4K Relay
8:00pm Open 4K Relay
8:20pm Varsity Boys 8K Relay
9:00pm Varsity Girls 8K Relay
Team entries: on MileSplit. Teams of 20 or less ( per gender) $75 over 20 (per gender) $100. Open races (parent/coaches no cost)
