Meet Information
Beat the Sleet Invitational is a polar bear (FAT) for high schools. We'll be running all events that are contested at the NCHSAA state championships in February. It's a Saturday meet, to maximize sun and warmer temps. '
MEET INFORMATION:
Facilities: The Seaforth High School track is an 8-lane rubberized surface, as are the runways for the jumps and vault. No spikes may be worn that are longer than 1/4 inch. The shot put and discus circles are concrete.
Sanction: Sanction has been obtained from the North Carolina High School Athletic Association. All National Federation rules will be followed for the conduct of this meet.
Seeding: All events will be seeded according to your entry submission. You may use times or distances from the indoor season or last years indoor/outdoor seasons for seeding purposes. Please enter accurate seed times so the meet can run more efficiently.
Concessions: Concessions will be on sale throughout the day through the efforts of Hawk's Nation.
Spectator/Parking Information:Tickets for spectators can be found on GoFan.co. Spectator tickets are $7. Parking is available in the rear or front of the school. Parking Information.
Entry Procedure: All entries will be done on-line through ncrunners (MileSplit). The events listed below will be contested at this meet. There is no qualifying standard for the events (please submit an accurate time so that your team will be seeded properly).

Events/Schedule:
We will have a coaches meeting at 9:30 am at the finish line. Please bring scratches to this meeting.
Running events will be Women's then Men's on a rolling schedule. The field events begin at 10am and the running events will begin at 10:30am. Please have your relay teams and other runners prepared for potentially starting a bit before 10:30.
Field events will begin at 10:00 am, and will consist of the following:
Shot Put: Women's then Men's
High Jump: Women's then Men's
Long Jump: Men's then Women's
Triple Jump: Men's then Women's (after long jump has concluded)
Pole Vault: Women's then Men's
Running Events will be completed women first, then men, on a rolling schedule starting at 10:30 am:

Entry Deadline: All entries must be posted in ncrunners by WEDNESDAY, JAN 7 @ 3pmWe will not accept late entries. All entry lists will be posted on the meet website on MileSplit after the registration has closed.
Scratches: We will ask for any scratches at our coaches meeting prior to the beginning of the meet. We will not be adding any athletes to events the day of the meet.
