WHAT? The 4th Annual Carolina Liberty Kickoff

WHO? We ask you to join us in this fun and competitive cross country event for all school-age kids. Private, public schools, and club teams are all welcome. This meet is also open to AAU, USATF and other running clubs. There will be a limit of 500 competitors.

WHERE? Golfview Greenway, Golfview Road, Hope Mills, NC 28348

WHEN? Saturday, September 2nd, 2023

6:30 AM: Check-in Begins

7:10 AM: Coaches Meeting (by the Finish Line)

7:45: National Anthem

8:30: Boys' Varsity 5K for INDIVIDUALS and HS TEAMS (Up to 10 participants from a team.)

9:00: Girls' Varsity 5K for INDIVIDUALS and HS TEAMS (Up to 10 participants from a team.)

9:40: Boys' Middle School/HS DEVELOPMENTAL/YOUTH 3K (Unlimited participants from a team.)

10:10: Girls' Middle School/ HS DEVELOPMENTAL/YOUTH 3K (Unlimited participants from a team.)

11:00: Team Awards 

THIS YEAR WE HAVE FULLY AUTOMATED TIMING COURTESY OF RHODES TIMING. Each athlete will be assigned a bib number and shoe tag for the timer. Live results will be posted on NC Milesplit. 

Entry Fees: Single gender teams are $100; $150 for both men's and women's teams. Entry is $20 for individuals who do not comprise a complete team. A team is five or more same gender runners from the same school/club. Checks should be made payable to Schofield Sports, Inc. This is an entry fee, not a participation fee. If you register and do not report, your school/club will be billed. Cash, Venmo, and CashApp will be available for payment as well. ALL PAYMENT WILL BE DUE THE MORNING OF THE RACE. NO PAYMENT, NO PACKET.

HOW TO ENTER: The entry process is at NCRunners.com and must be completed by Sunday, August 28, 10:00 PM. Go to NCRunners.com and click on the "CALENDAR" link. Scroll down to the Carolina Liberty Kickoff and click the "ONLINE ENTRY" button.

 Five same-gender individuals from the same school/club become a team.

 High School teams must be a member of their high school athletic association or a REAL CLUB.

 Individuals may enter unattached. All individuals competing unattached MUST fill out a waiver form to compete. If an "unattached" athlete is under 18, they will need a parent signature on the waiver.

PARKING: If turning onto Golfview Road from the Rockfish Road, buses will park in the first lot on the left. Personal vehicles will be parked in both lots at the Greenway. Overflow parking will be at the Hope Mills Recreation Center parking lot before you turn onto Golfview Road.

T-SHIRTS: Limited amount of T-Shirts will be available but are first come first serve so please purchase as soon as you arrive to avoid missing out.

AWARDS: Top 10 male and female individuals in all races will receive medals. The top two men's and women's high school aged teams and the top two boy's and girl's aged middle school aged teams will receive plaques.
