The Mount Tabor Mile & Throwing Thunder

Mount Tabor Mile
We will contest the Mile Run. I have been assured that these marks are eligible for NCHSAA Regional Entry and an athletes best 1600m *or* Mile time with conversion will automatically be pulled for Regional entry. We will use a double waterfall start for all races with approximately hip numbers 11+ on the upper stagger and hip numbers 1-10 on the back line.
The top heats will be under the lights with other lighting surrounding the track and music all night long to push the athletes to new personal bests. This event is designed for all from JV athletes to state champions going head to head in quality heats. Minimum standard for 1600m entry will be sub 6:15 for the boys and sub 6:45 for the girls.

Throwing Thunder
Along with the Mount Tabor Mile we will host the 1st "Throwing Thunder'' competition for throwers. We will contest the Shot Put in a fantastic double ring throwing area with special lighting, stands for spectators, a knowledgeable announcer and an atmosphere like no other for these athletes.A MAX of 28 throwers per gender will be accepted into the meet based on the top 28 verified entries. All throwers will receive 3 throws and the top 9 marks from the two flights per gender will go to the finals for 3 more throws
