Our NEW on-campus X-C course. This is a REAL X-C runners course. Visit our campus and see for yourself. RUN THE COURSE that WILL HOST the North Carolina High School Meet of Champions, NC Middle School X-C Championships & NCAA DIII South/Southeast Regionals on 11/14/09. Call Coach Bill Cason at 336-734-3009 for a course TOUR. Team & Individual awards to top 25 in each race and t-shirts to TOP 3 scoring teams in each division. Entry fees: $15.00 per athlete $65.00 max per middle and high school teams (boys & girls teams separate). Collegiate races $15.00 per athlete w/$130 max per school. Open Race $20/runner. Checks payable to Guilford College Quaker Club. Carnival Schedule: Distance Summit panel includes: Terrance Herrington: 4 time Olympic trials qualifier @ 1500m, US Olympian @ 1500m, Coach Wade Williams: multi-time collegiate & HS coach of the Year, Terrance Herrington's personal coach, former Clemson University, Virginia Military Institute and Western Branch(VA) HS head coach and new Guilford College men's & women's Sprint/Hurdles & Field Events Coach. Coach Dan Merrit: coached NCHSAA state X-C champions at several NC high schools. Other collegiate and HS coaches and athletes will be added to the one hour Question & Answer Session. Saturday, 09/19/09: Varsity HS Boys 5K @ 9am, Varsity HS Girls 5K @ 945am Middle School 3k(boys & girls together)@ 12Noon Single Elimination Ultimate Frisbee Tournament Play Begins @ 11am. Course is a challenging, 100% grass course. Other fun activities for the kids are being planned & will be announced when finalized. RACE DAY REGISTRATION IS OPEN for $20 per runner for all HS & college/open races. Middle School race is $10 on RACE DAY! COME AND JOIN US at Guilford College.
