Meet Information
Coaches,
Here is the information that you need to know about the
conference championship at Cuthbertson on June 9th.If you think I have missed anything at all
please send me an email and I will get you an answer.
Field Event start
time- 5:30 P.M
Running event start
time- 6:15 P.M
Field event start-
Boys-Long Jump, Shot Put
Girls- High Jump, Pole Vault, Discus
Triple jump will be after girl's long jump
in the same pit. Boys followed by girls.
Finasl- We will take 7 to the
finals in field events since we score 6 at conference.The
regional and state meet will also have
finals in field events.
Running events-
We will follow the normal order of events for running events. There will be NO
finals in any running event as will be the case at regionals and states. We
will take a 5 minute break at the conclusion of the 100 to give athletes time
to recover for the 4x200.
All events from here will be timed finals and
will follow a rolling schedule

Check in- All
athletes will check in at the start of their race. This means that if I am in
the 100 meter dash I will report to the 100 meter dash start line to check in
and race. All athletes that need hip numbers (4x800, 4x400, 800, 1600, 3200)
will check at the tent located between the track and the throws area.
Infield- The
infield should be clear of athletes who are not in the current race or the next
race.Our campus is huge and we have
plenty of places for athletes to warm up for their events.They can go to our bottom practice field
(next to throws) or anywhere else around our campus to warm up.
Coaching box for
field events- There will not be coach's boxes at the conference
championship.There will not be a
coach's box for any field events at the regional or state meet, so we won't
have any at our conference meet.
Individual Awards- The
conference has provided medals for all athletes that place in the top 2 of
their event.I will have a folder for
each school and I will place the medals in that folder to give to coaches at
the end of the meet.All coaches will
need to meet at the conclusion of the meet to vote for coach of the year and
athlete of the year.The Cuthbertson
Athletic Director will be dealing with the voting process and I will provide
scoring for all potential athlete of the year candidates.
Team Awards- At
the conclusion of the meet we will announce the conference champions for both
the boys and girls team.These teams
will be recognized in the middle of the field.
