This year's Midwest 4A Regional will once again be held at the Ivey M Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville, NC.

Course Walk: Friday evening or before 9:15 am Saturday
Parking: $10 per car fee. All vehicles will be charged a parking fee. The cost covers all passengers in the vehicle. Spectatorswill given a wristband to determine the area they will be allowed to observe the races. They will be color coordinated and shown a map for instructions. Spectators will not be allowed to visit the team areas.
The Midwest 4A Regional Cross-Country Championships will be
held at Ivey M. Redmond Sports Complex (Beeson Park Cross Country Park) in
Kernersville, NC on Saturday, January 16th, 2021. The meet will begin at
9:30 a.m. with a coaches meeting beginning at 8:45 a.m. near the finish
line. A few things you need to be aware about this meet:

- Entries were sent in by
Jan. 8th. We had one team not able register for Covid
protocols. Remember you can only have seven (7) members per boys' and
girls' team. Any runner changes should be sent to me by email or made the
day of the event.
Below is a time schedule for the
event:
- 7:30 am - Facility opens
- 8:45 am - 4A Coaches
Meeting (Coaching Meeting Mandatory) - 9:30 am - 4A Boys 1st
Section race (Top 1st place team plus individual runners from
each conference) - 10:15 am - 4A Boys 2nd
Section race( all Remaining teams) - 11:00 am - 4A Girls 1st
Section race (Top 1st place team plus individual runners from
each conference) - 11:45 am - 4A Girls 2nd
Section race( all Remaining teams) - 12:15 pm - 4A Awards
- All scoring will be done
by Computer. The clock at the finish line is not the official time for the
runners. Coach Beitz is timing the race. - Athletes will be
assigned bib numbers that you will place on the front of your uniform. - If you would like to
practice at Beeson Park any time before Jan 16th,you will need
to make a reservation at the Park. You can do this by e-mailing
Curtis Swisher at CSwisher@toknc.com. THE PARK IS CLOSED JAN 12-13 for maintenance. - TEAMS: Packets will
handed out on the main road headed into the park. Individual runners and
coaches along Athletic Directors will be a given packets/wristbands along
main road into park. AD's and coaches observing the race need their NCSHAA
Id Card for free entry and access to teams. - Spectator parking is
permitted in the gravel parking lot along with the handicap spaces. Cost
for parking is $10.00 per car. Buses will park in the lower parking
lot. Meet officials and volunteers will park in the gravel parking lot
near the finish. - Please review the
uniform and jewelry rules and have your athletes in appropriate
uniforms. I recommend bringing extra uniforms in case athletes
forget their uniform or any have a mismatched uniform. I also
recommend checking uniforms at your conference championship meets to get
teams accustomed to being checked. The uniform rule, and all NFHS
and NCHSAA rules, will be enforced. It is the coach's responsibility
to know and communicate the rules to their athletes, including the uniform
rule. - NCHSAA State Meet
Qualification:
Top 3 teams and top 4 individuals
from each region will advance to state meet.
9) The
qualifiers for the State XC Meet will automatically be entered for the State
Meet after the Regional XC Meet. Make sure to check spelling of
athletes' names when you enter them on NC MileSplit. If you have any
change to team members to run at the State Meet, make sure to contact State
meet director with your changes.

COVID Protocols:
13) Attestation and Travel Party Forms:
Each team participating in the regionals should present a completed copy of
these forms to the regional director upon arrival. This is to assure that
everyone in their travel party (coaches, athletes and all others) has been
properly screened for COVID prior to departing for the regionals. The

14) All spectators are assigned to a
specific area. They will be handed a colored wristband for their area. They
will shown where their spectator area is located. Only spectators with a their
certain color wristband can be allowed in that area. We allowed 100 spectators
per venue area. I will attach the spectator map.
15) All teams must park in lower parking
lot by the baseball fields and team areas. We ask teams stay in team at all
times unless warming up or cooling down. They cannot associate with the
spectators during the races. They can rejoin the parents after races and awards
have conclude.
16) They cannot share water cups or water
bottles.
17) After the race, all runners are to
return back to team area.
18) Awards will be handed out in team area.
19) Social distancing will be
enforced at all times by Coaches and meet officials at all times.
