Meet Information

2019 TRI-6 TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

MEET INFORMATION:


Parking and tickets: All team buses will park in Jaguar Stadium Lot (new stadium). You may drop athletes off at Williams Stadium parking lot and then move bus to the designated area. Teams will enter the stadium via the main entrance. All spectators and coaches/athletes arriving in personal vehicles must park in the William Stadium lot or one of the main school lots. Packets containing heat sheets will be provided near the main Williams gate (where teams should enter). Teams can enter the stadium anytime after 2:30pm. Teams may set up tents on the at the top of the home stands or visitors stands or in any unoccupied grass on the visitor side. Tents may be left overnight. Fans can enter anytime after 3:30pm. Tickets are $5 for school age and up. Tickets will not be transferable from day 1 to day 2.

Hospitality Tent:We will be serving an early dinner for coaches from both days. Food will be available after 3pm Refreshments will stay available in the hospitality tent for the duration of the meet both days. The tent will be positioned near the finish line on the infield.

Meet officials: We will need help officiating. A sign-up for events will be emailed out. If you would like to volunteer for an event please let us know by Friday April 25th. After that, we will assign duties that are not filled and post all positions prior to the meet. All schools will need to help with exchange zones.

Declaration: All entries should be confirmed or scratched from the meet at the coaches meeting starting at 3:15pm on day 1.

Entry Procedure:All entries will be done online through NC Milespilt. Each team will be allowed 3 athletes per event and one team per relay. Entry deadline is 8:00pm on Monday April 29th. Pole Vault entries will be due by Friday April 26th on Milesplit.


Seeding: All events will be seeded according to your entry submission. Please be accurate in submitting times each event. Only times from the current 2018 outdoor season will be accepted. All field events will have 3 attempts, top 9 individuals will advance to finals. Relay cards will be provided in each packet received on day 1. Fill out the relay cards legibly and have athletes turn these into the clerk tent when the team checks in for their relay.

Concessions:Concessions will be on sale throughout the evening.

Coaches Note:

A few reminders for our meet:

  • Scratches will be taken up to the start of the meet on Day 1, April 30th. We will have a scratch meeting directly following the coaches meeting at 3:15PM. However, no scratches will be taken after the start. An athlete wishing not to participate in a event will have to report to the start line/competition area at check-in to avoid any DQs. There will be no substitutions.
  • Please send one coach to finish line tent prior to relays to pick up exchange flags.
  • 800/1600/3200 will be run waterfall start (potentially alley start)
  • 4'6" for girls starting height HJ, 5'6" for boys starting height HJ (or one height below lowest entry)
  • Uniforms will be checked at check-in and the start line
  • Implement weigh-in will take place starting at 3:30-4:15pm at the shot/discus area (please tell athletes to bring weights with them when they go to check-in, have them marked so they can be kept there). There will be common shots/discs that can be used if wanted.
  • There will be a blue tent next to the visitor stands for check-in, where athletes pick-up hip numbers. Athletes can pick up all hip numbers for that days races the at anytime, preferably earlier. This is also the staging area. Athletes will not be allowed on to the track unless their event is within 20mins/2nd call.
  • Remind athletes that when they finish a race, they should exit the in-field
  • There will be an athletic trainer located near the scoreboard
  • Hospitality tent will be near the finish line
  • Trash bags were placed in packet, please make sure your athletes pick up after themselves each day. Trash bags can be left by the restrooms on your way out.
  • Tents can be set up at the top of the visitor stands or any unoccupied grass area
  • There will be a viewing area for high jump, spectators must remain in bleachers, no one should be standing on the shoulder of the track. Spectators traveling to this area should access it by going around the visitors side and walking across track near the 200 start.
  • There will be a viewing area for shot put/discus, located near shot put, no spectators should be anywhere but this location. Spectators traveling to this area should access it by going around the visitors side and walking down.
