Meet Information
On September 9th, 2017 Washington High School will be hosting the Pam Pack Invitational. The race will start at 10:30 with the mens race with the womens race to follow. The cost is $50 per school, with no entry limit. The course is located at the high school, 400 Slatestone Rd. Washington NC, 27889. Awards will be given to top ten runners and top three schools. There will be a concessions stand open during the meet and t-shirts will be for sale. The course starts on a grass field, goes around the school on cement, follows a trail into some woods with a mix of dirt and grass, and finishes on the track. The course is fast and offers friendly spectator viewing.
Washington High School is hosting the Eastern 2A Regional Race in 2017, which will be run on the same course. This event will be the perfect tune-up heading into your conference races, and practice for the Eastern Regional Race. Last years field included State Qualifiers, Regional and Conference individual and team Champions. Each year, it can be quite warm on race day; please be sure your athletes are properly hydrated prior to racing. We will have water coolers and cups at the finish line and refreshments will be for sale in the team camp area at the concessions stand. However, I strongly suggest you bring your own fluids also. Team can set up tents inside the football stadium. We do ask that your team cleans up after itself following the meets.
