If you have questions, please contact me at 828-859-6270, 828-817-1594, or silverfishltd@windstream.net.
Individual awards will be presented, and trophies for the first three teams will be awarded. We will also have MVPs for field and running events.
Individuals and Relays will be entered through NCRunners/MileSplit. The deadline for entries to be submitted is March 23, 2017, at 3:00pm. Entries after that time will be assessed a $25 late registration fee. North Carolina state standards of no more than three athletes per event per school and no more than four events for an athlete will be followed.
There will be a coaches meeting at 9:30 to discuss meet issues, but any scratches or changes should be submitted, to sharding@polkschools.org, by e-mail, by 1:00pm on Friday, March 24. This will allow us to reseed, if needed. A Hospitality Room will be available for the coaches and workers.
NCHSAA/NFHS rules and policies will be enforced. Please review the rules regarding uniforms and electronic devices with your athletes.
Depending on the numbers of entries, there may be preliminaries in the short sprints and hurdles events. The throws and horizontal jumps will have 3 initial attempts and then carry 9 to finals.
Admission for spectators will be $6. Tents will not be allowed inside the track or in the home side stands. A concession stand will be available. Boom boxes are not allowed in the stadium.
