Meet Information
AS OF FEBRUARY 15, WE HAVE REACHED OUR CAP OF 35 TEAMS. NO NEW TEAMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
We will be offering a couple of non-traditional (for NC) events- SMR & DMR to make the meet a little unique. Here's the order of Track events:
8:30-9:10 AM- Weigh-in for throws & PV
8:45 AM- Coaches Meeting
9:30 AM Start Time
Distance Medley Relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600)
100/110HH Prelims
100m Prelims
3200m
Sprint Medley Relay (100, 100, 200, 400)
30 Minute Break
4x800
100/110H finals
100m finals
400m timed finals
1600m
4x100
300H timed finals
4x400
Girls first in: HJ, PV, TJ & Discus.
Boys first in: SP & LJ.
The meet will be FAT. Entries will be done on www.athletic.net & are due Tuesday, March 7 at 11:59 PM.
There is a limit of 3 athletes per open event & 1 relay team per event for each school but there are a few other limitations in some events:
3200m- Top 24 entries per gender will be accepted. These must be from performances verifiable on MileSplit from the past calendar year.
1600m- Top 50 entries per gender will be accepted from verifiable performances from the past calendar year.
Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump & Triple Jump- Top 35 entries per gender will be accepted from verifiable performances from the past calendar year.
Opening Height for High Jump- Boys 5'4", Girls 4'4"
Opening Height for Pole Vault- Boys 9'0", Girls 7'0"
We ask that you please use your judgement in entering other events so we can move the meet along.
$100 per team ($50 boys/$50 girls), $5/spectator. Checks should be made out to: Weddington High School & mailed to:
