Meet Information

2016 Tiger Challenge 3K Kickoff
Tuesday, August 16th, 2016
at South View High School, Hope Mills, NC

Intent:
A laid back, inexpensive and fun meet set at the shorter distance of 3,000 meters. Due to the August, Fayetteville area heat and humidity and the fact that so many younger runners are not quite ready for a full 5,000 meters, we set this meet up to be a fun way to kickoff the 2016 cross country season. Please join us!

Need-To-Know:

Where? South View High School, Hope Mills, NC
Who may participate? Open to all athletes from public and private schools. Athletes need to be members of their high school cross country teams.
o If an athlete is competing individually, they must represent their school and have a coach present or approval of their coach with an approved adult acting as their coach.
o The first 10 teams or 400 runners are guaranteed entry.
o Coaches, you must email or text Coach Jesse L. Autry to reserve your spot.
Cost? $1.00 per participant. We ask each coach to collect $1.00 from each athlete on their team and turn it in at packet pick-up. We are not going to count it and haggle with anyone. Just put the money in an envelope and write your schools name on it. Please understand, you are responsible for collecting your athletes money and turning it in.
Online Entry: All coaches must enter their athletes in the nc.milespit.com database.
o Make sure you enter their correct names and correct grades.
o Make sure your cross country athletes ONLY are marked for XC. If you have track athletes marked for XC, but are not running XC, please uncheck them or they will show up on your roster.
o We will download your roster and assign bib numbers. If your athletes are not entered into the database, they will not have a bib number.
o We cannot add athletes on meet day. So, please make sure this is done.
o Entry deadline is Sunday, August 14th at 11:59PM. Have your athletes on milesplit!!!

Help: In an effort to keep the cost down for this event, we will ask each coach to assist with meet administration. We still should have quite a bit of help from volunteers, but course spotting, calling splits and working the finish line/chute area will be most important.
