11:00 Developmental Boys (unlimited entries)
11:30 Developmental Girls (unlimited entries)
12:00 Middle School Race
12:15 Awards
Declaring a race: It is not necessary to declare an event. Simply place 5-7 runners on the starting line. Five runners must finish to qualify for team scores.
If you are a 4A team you must run the Championship Division. Same with individuals. If they attend a 4A school you must race the Championship Division.
If you are any other school you may decide to run whether you want to run the Championship or Varsity Division. NOT BOTH. The Championship Division is one of the best early season fields in our state. Typically 1A, 2A and 3A schools that are competing at the top of their state divisions are better suited to run for the Championship
The rest of your roster may fill into the other divisions, 5-7 runners per team in the JV, Developmental and Middle School Race.

Yeah, its flat. And visible. And unshaded. Teams should bring tents.
The track is a two loop course around the Cape Fear Fairgrounds.Spikes work well on the centipede grass and sandy soil. The footing is good, although there are two quick road crossings per loop. The course will be marked with paint and orange flags, plus the running surface will be mowed.
