The 9th Annual Jimmy Carnes Indoor Track and Field meet will be contested in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on Saturday, February 6, 2016. The meet is conducted under the auspices of the Gainesville Sports Commission. This will be the last track meet contested on the storied 35 year old O'Connell Center track which has seen numerous World, USA professional, high school, and age group records and national leaders. Later this year, the "O'Dome" renovations begin which include removing the track.

The meet will be held on August 1st with the gates opening at 6:30pm, live music to begin at 7:00pm and the first field event beginning at 7:30pm. ATLANTA – June 4, 2015 – Atlanta Track Club honored 46 of the best runners, jumpers and throwers in metro Atlanta at the All-Metro Track and Field Awards Banquet on Wednesday, June 3 at the College Football Hall of Fame. Each year, Atlanta Track Club hosts the All-Metro Awards Banquet as part of its commitment to recognize outstanding high school track and field and cross country athletes.
