Spanos Sports Complex in Sacramento with Sacramento State and The Sacramento Sports Commission serving as hosts.

Sophomore sprinter Paulvince Obuon (Kisumo Kenya, Chianda) has qualified for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter dash for the second straight year and will be aiming to achieve his second All-American Honor in as many years. Obuon is the lone representative for VMI and will be competing at the championships which take place Friday and Saturday March 11-12 in Fayettville, Ark. Both the preliminaries and the finals of the 200 will take place Friday night with the preliminaries set for 7:30 pm and the finals scheduled for 9:00 pm.

Sophomore Anthony Harris and junior Amber Blain will lead the VMI cross country teams into the Big South Conference Championships Saturday morning in Rock Hill, S.C. The competition will be familiar, as the Keydets have run against fellow Big South competition in each of the last three meets they have participated in. Over those meets, the Keydets have defeated league rivals Radford, Charleston Southern and Winthrop, while gaining valuable experience by competing against High Point and UNC Asheville four weeks ago.
Virginia Military Institute will play host to several high school indoor track and field meets and clinics this winter with a total of two meets and three clinics.
