The final signing period for high school athletes is this week. Track and field and cross country standouts from across the state are finalizing their decisions on where they will spend the next four years. 

The Spikes & Spurs Classic might not have the quantity of other meets, but it sure has quality with state championship teams, and national caliber individuals.

We take a look at the top 100 4A boys heading into the 2017 season.

The 2016 XC season is in the books but it's never to look ahead to the top runners in 2017 which includes a group of 18 boys who have all run under 16 minutes.

Two Central Florida athletes Lake Nona's Roberto Castro and Lyman's Bryce Bell seen here side by side at the Cross Country Finals both cracked the top twenty in our junior class rankings. Joshua Collins owns the fastest time with his 15:22.30 at Foot Locker South, but it's Chiles' Michael Phillips the lone runner on the list to win an individual state title. We rank the top 500 boys for the class of 2018.

Chiles junior Michael Phillips won his first 3A Cross Country Finals state championship in a time of 15:30.54 the fastest of any class of 2018 boy regardless of class. A total of seven juniors ran under 16 minutes with 24 under 16:30. We rank all the times so you can see where you stack up against your peers.

Timothy Doyle wasn't in the front at the beginning of the 4A-1 race, but that was just fine for the 4A 1,600m state champion. The Freedom junior picked up yet another winning the title in a new PR of 15:50 over Bryce Bell who also went sub 16. On the girl's side, it might have been the race of the week as Kayley Delay ran a new PR and FL#2 of 17:37.40 with freshman Elayna Bahr also joining the 17 minute club with a PR of 17:59.30. We merged results from every regional across the state to find out who won the week.

Charlotte senior Marshall Dillon clocked the fastest 800/1600m times of the week running 1:54.92 and 4:20.41 at the Wally Keller Invitational. Check out the top 25 times in EVERY event to see who won the week!

Orange City University sophomore Lorenzo Lingard is one of the top class of 2018 football prospects in the country, but the two sport standout is also excelling on the track. Lingard owns the top sophomore mark in the 110h, a state leading time of 14.29, and has the second fastest time of his peers in the 300h behind only Thomas Burns of Miami Northwestern. We take a look at the top 25 sophomores in EVERY event.

Newsome's Patrick Jolly is the top sophomore in the state in both the high jump and long jump and is ranked 12th in the 400m dash. In the distance events, Vanguard's Joey Fitzpatrick looks to bounce back from an injury plagued fall with the top times in the 1,600 and 3,200, and second fastest in the 800m.
