Jake Hurysz of Eastern Alamance had one of those seasons runners dream about.
1) Improved a great deal
2) Won a state title
3) Won various Invitationals
4) Qualified for Foot Locker Nationals, tied Ryan Hill for fastest NC time ever run at McAlpine
5) Finished 6th at Foot Locker Nationals - named an All-American
Anyone else like to have these stats? Jake's improvement turned a lot of heads in North Carolina and around the nation. Next year Jake will take his newly improved running skills to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Now, added to this list of accolades is being named Boy's Gatorade Runner of the Year in NC.
