While the weather in the southeast was less than ideal this weekend, out west Christ School senior Rocky Hansen claimed another state record. The Wake Forest signee clocked 8:34.78 in the 3,200m at Arcadia Invitational to take 3rd in a national-level field. He was less than a second behind winner Simeon Birnbaum (Rapid City Stevens, SD) who ran 8:34.10.
Hansen's performance is also good for U.S. No.5 all-time, and under the previous Arcadia Invitational meet record. The senior also holds the cross country 5,000m and one mile state records
