Stella Kermes - Cuthbertson

Kermes established herself early on as the one to beat this season, and she did not disappoint. After winning the Southern Carolina Conference and Union County Championships, Kermes secured her first individual title, the NCHSAA 4A XC crown, in 17:40. She has a personal best of 17:22 (5,000m) at Union County, and 16:09 (3-mile) from Woodbridge Classic, CA. 

Macy Parks - North Lincoln

In her first season at North Lincoln, Parks delivered a NCHSAA 3A state title. She also won the 3A West Regional in 18:29 and the Western Foothills Athletic Conference title in 18:40. She had four sub 19:00 runs on the season.

Katherine Hopkins - Lincolnton

The runner-up from 2020 finally claimed gold of her own. Hopkins captured the NCHSAA 2A title in 19:20. Her time from adidas XC of 18:29 is her career best. She also won the 2A West Regional and Catawba Valley Conference titles. 

Dvdaya Swimmer - Cherokee

Swimmer won the NCHSAA 1A state title in 20:08. A week prior, she ran 18:52 to capture the 1A West Regional crown. In fact, the freshman went undefeated in cross country action in 2022.
