North Carolina athletes captured four national titles, multiple more all-American finishes, and many more top finishes in the freshman and national elite sections.
Mary Bonner Dalton (Myers Park) had herself a performance on Friday, running the US Sophomore No. 6 5K all-time mark in 17:02.88. Her time currently stands at U.S. No. 5 and it's the fifth-fastest North Carolina performance of all-time.
She also finished 3rd in the championship one mile run, clocking 4:53.97. Her time regains the NC Sophomore No. 2 all-time mark and is NC No. 7 all-time.
Rocky Hansen (Christ School) kept up his incredible season with two national titles in one mile and two mile runs. His 9:07.36 in the two mile is NC No. 8 all-time and NC Junior Class No. 3 all-time.
Lauren Tolbert (Highland Tech) finished runner-up in the championship 400m in NC No. 9 all-time, 55.00.
In the championship 800m run, Andrew Mallo (Wake Forest) and Dylan Look (Chapel Hill) both ran finished top five. Mallo ran NC No. 12 all-time in the event indoors, runing 1:55.01. Look finished 5th and was just off his indoor best.
Spencer Williams (Davie County) moved up to NC No. 3 all-time in the indoor shot put throwing 60-11.25.
Rahkeem Faison (NC Flight Club) ties his NC freshman No. 4 mark in the 60m dash, taking home the freshman national title.
Makenna Barnett (Platinum Sports) took home her own freshman national title and national elite title in the 60mH.
Tyreeq Brewer (Bull City Express) took home the 400m freshman national championship. Anyeh Bronson (Cape Fear) won the freshman national title in the long jump.
Andre Whitaker-Myart (Northern Durham) took home the national elite 60m dash and Cameron Snead (West Johnston) took 3rd in the national elite long jump.
