We're excited to have our NCRunners Middle School Elite Invitational back at Gaston Christian School on May 7th to close out the Middle School Outdoor track season once again! Since 2018 we've seen some of North Carolina's athletes compete before becoming the stars on the high school stage as the sport grows at the Middle School level!

REGISTRATION - Online registration will close on Monday, May 2nd at Midnight. We will release accepted entries on Tuesday. We will have more entries than what is accepted in some events, so make sure you're getting results in so your athletes have seed times. Athletes entered without a seed mark will be not be accepted if the entries exceed the max entries in the event listed below. Please send in your results throughout the season so athletes' season-best can be used in registration and they can be properly seeded.
The event is open only to North Carolina Middle School athletes.
SCHEDULE - We will release the estimated meet schedule once entries close, but the first event will kick off at 9 AM on the track and in the field. We'll have a rolling schedule from there. We will follow the high school order of events on the track and will have prelims for the 100m Dash and 100m Hurdles followed by a brief break before finals.
We'll use an "open pit" system for field events. Each event will have a window that it'll be open for, for example, Long Jump will be open from 9 AM until 1 PM. Athletes will need to compete in the field events at some point during that window to get their three attempts in.
ENTRIES - We prefer Middle Schools compete for their middle school if possible. We know not all middle schools are allowed to travel outside of the county for middle school sports and want to give those athletes an opportunity to compete. Those athletes will be allowed to enter unattached, however, those athletes will not be eligible to score points for team scoring purposes. If you are looking to enter your middle school team together but not under the school name, you can find instructions on how to do so at the bottom of the meet page.
Teams will be limited to a max of four athletes per event. We want to cater to as many athletes as possible and will determine at a later date if we need to have a maximum amount of accepted entries in events once we have a better idea of how many teams will be attending.

AWARDS - The top three finishers in each event will receive medals and will be announced once the results are official. We'll have team awards as well for the top 2 boys and girls team scores. We will score the top 8 athletes in every event that is representing a middle school program. You'll be able to keep up with team scores throughout the event on the live results.
Every athlete competing will get a personalized bib with their last name on it to wear during the event.
