Five Takeaways From Providence Cross Country Invitational

Lake Norman Boys Are Legit

The Lake Norman boys were not messing around this morning! They finished 2nd as a team, only 3 points behind pre-season No. 3 Green Hope.

Seniors Gavin Sweeney and Griffin Horner set the tone for the Wildcats both finishing in the top 10, with Sweeney coming in 4th clocking 15:59. Horner was 9th in 16:15.

The summer transfer of Logan Dingman makes this team even stronger up front. Dingman and Dalton Graves were together the whole race and finished 24th and 27th respectively. Dingman ran 16:55 and Graves 16:58. It was the first time under 17:00 in his career for Graves!

A big personal best for Brad Mankus as he finished as the No. 5 runner for the Wildcats, taking 37th overall in 17:13. They also had freshmen Triston Rabon and Mason Noble break 18:00.
