North Lincoln is our #25 XC Girls' Pre-Season Team! North Lincoln was runner-up at last season's 2A XC State Championship, but returns four runners from that team. The Knights squad is led by senior Angie Allen, who has been on a tear this summer. Allen dipped under the 5:00 mark in the 1600m for the first time in her career proving she is elite. Allen is the defending 2A XC State Champ and will be set on defending her title with hopes of bringing a team title along with it.
Andrea McAllister will likely be the only other senior in the Knights Top 5, and returns with the 2nd best time on the squad. McAllister has been a consistent varsity runner for the last two seasons for North Lincoln and looks to challenge for an All-State spot in XC for the first time in her career.
Rising Junior Lori Glavan placed 6th in the NC Runners Elite Unofficial Frosh/Soph State Championship last season and looks to take those next steps to the front of 2A with McAllister.
North Lincoln has a pack of three rising sophomores that will all be key to the Knight's success this season. Emily Laramie placed 12th in the NC Runners Elite Unofficial Frosh/Soph State Championship as a freshman and Delanie Mellon was 14th. Kelbi Pierce qualified for the Indoor State Meet in the 1600m last season and placed 15th in their XC Conference Championship.
With Allen having a great chance to secure the victory once again at the 2A XC State Meet, it will be up to her teammates to bring North Lincoln home a championship, something they are very capable of doing!
