NCHSAA Plans To Move Into Phase 2 on August 3rd


The Board of Directors for the NCHSAA voted on and passed their plan for Phase 2 of the resumptions of summer workouts. In short, this does not directly impact cross country too much as there are no cross country specific changes. However, for track and field athletes are allowed "limited sharing of implements" and must disinfect frequently between use. So great news for throwers, jumpers, and relay teams! The start of fall sports remains the same and is still set for September 1st.

A lot does remain the same, however, as a lot of NCHSAA Phase 1 guidelines and polices will still be in effect:

Constant cleaning schedules and hand sanitizer still required

Workouts / Practices are still limited to 90 minutes

No team travel is permitted

Weight rooms remain closed
