Sanu Jallow and Lauren Tolbert battle in the 400m
The defending 4A Indoor 500m state champion Sanu Jallow (Phillip O'Berry) would face off against Lauren Tolbert (Highland Tech) who is fresh off a 400m PR at the Donna Davis Invitational. Jallow got out to a quick start and was leading for most of the race. Tolbert was on the lane inside of Jallow and played the chase game the whole race. Down the homestretch Tolbert tried to make a final move but Jallow powered down the final 50 meters to take the victory in 55.95.
