Rising junior Maddon Muhammed set a new PR en route to his first national title clocking 4:02.41 in the boys 1500m. Muhammad took the pace out looking to challenge the national record of 3:58.10. He led from start to finish with splits of 45.10 for 300m, 1:50.62 for 700m, 2:57.99 through 1100m and a 1:04.43 final 400m to hold off the field.
