Jamar Davis (Orange, NC State) - Triple Jump
Jamar Davis was a stud last year earning All-American status at New Balance Indoor and Outdoor Nationals. He placed 4th outdoors and 6th indoors. He was the NCHSAA 3A State Champion in the Long and Triple Jump Indoors and Outdoors as a senior.
His best in high school was 50-3.5 in the triple jump and 23-5 in the long jump. As a freshman at NC State Davis has jumped 24-11.25 in the long jump and 52-6.25 where he was the ACC Runner-Up in both.
Davis will head to his first NCAA Indoor Championships with nothing to lose. He is the only freshman in the triple jump field and comes in as the 15th seed. Regardless of the outcome the indoor season has been a major success at NC State.
