Chantz Sawyers (High Point Christian, Florida) - 4x400m Relay
Sawyers will return to his third NCAA Championship as a part of the Gators 4x400m relay. Sawyers competed on the 4x400m relay at the indoor national meet last year, and the open 400m and 4x400m outdoors last spring. He ran two collegiate best this season in the open 200m and 400m clocking 21.39 and 46.45. He was just off of qualifying for the 400m as an individual.
As a high school senior Sawyers ran 21.57 and 46.74 in the 200m and 400m where was an All-American in the event. Sawyers placed 5th this season in the SEC 400m this indoor season.
