The freshman sensation Kayla Davis (Run U Xpress) is set to race at the Toyota USATF Indoor Championships this weekend in Staten Island. Her 37.92 qualified her for the event as she is the 5th fastest entrant from this season.
The field is full of professional and post-collegiate sprinters and will be her biggest test to date. This will serve as prep for her for New Balance Indoor Nationals in a few weeks as she takes on the 200m and 400m.
Tamara Clark still holds the state record in the 300m as Davis sits at NC#2 All-Time. Clark threw down a 37.81 in 2017. If Davis can break this it'll be her third state record of the indoor season.
The first round will be Saturday at 5:32PM with 8 girls advancing to a two section final at 7:11PM later that day.
