3A has turned into a powerhouse and none of these records are locked in to stand through this weekend.  Weddington holds four of the relay records, and their 4x200m of 1:29.46 is going to be the toughest of these relay records going into the weekend.

Parkland set the 4x200m record a year ago and are going to blow it out of the water this season.  They've run 1:40.86 and been under their 1:43.48 meet record many times this fall.  This is the biggest lock to go down this weekend.

Weddington's 3:24.21 looked to be tough heading into the weekend, but Cuthbertson ran 3:23.53 outdoors a week ago.  Their going to have schools like Asheville pushing them, but seem to be the class of the field heading in.  It'll depend on how their athletes are able to double back and close out the meet this weekend.

We've seen both Northern Guilford and Hillside run faster than the 4x400m meet record already this season.  The two have run 4:01.44 and 4:04.77 this season.  Their record of 4:05.89 is likely to be broken by a few teams as I'd expect both Northern Guilford and Hillside to be under 4 minutes tomorrow.

Weddington's 4x800m ran 7:59.48 last season and they've run 7:49.73 this year.  While this seems like an easy one to fall, it won't be.  They come in as 30 second favorites with only Mount Tabor running under 8:20 this season.  So with their athletes all having other individual events they'll likely conserve energy as much as they can on the relay in securing 10 points.  But if necessary, this record is as good as gone by the Warriors.

I think a few teams are capable of breaking the meet record in the 4x800m in Chapel Hill, who has run 9:38 this year, Cuthbertson, Weddington, Marvin Ridge and Northern Guilford.  All of these teams have run under 10 minutes this winter putting Weddington's meet record of 9:42.39 in jeopardy.  Will a strong field coming in I'd say this is my biggest lock in 3A for a relay record to fall.
