Girls Discus
Veronica Fraley (Wakefield) broke Aslynn Halvorson's (Butler) Discus State Record last summer at USATF JO Nationals by just under a foot as she threw 170-4. As you've seen this indoor season Fraley has been dominant in the shot put. She threw 47-4.5 in the shot put indoors compared to her 2017 best of 44-7.
The Clemson commit will look to establish herself as the states best thrower of all time this outdoor season. I'd expect her to break her 170-4 at some point this outdoor season, and also challenge Kamorean Hayes' (Harding) shot put state record of 52-2 from 2007.
Fraley does have solid competition in the state surrounding her with Anson's Patience Marshall who has already thrown 45-1 and 149-5, as well as Hillside's Kayla Beasley who has been rivals with Fraley throughout their youth and high school careers.
