Don't count any school in the top 7 of these rankings out! There are at least 7 schools in the NCHSAA 2A on the girls side that has a shot at competing for a state title in a few weeks. Lake Norman Charter has made a statement lately and will be tough to beat if their 1-2 finish comes to fruition and their 3-4-5 has been much better than recent years. North Lincoln has a strong top 3, but needs their 4/5 to improve. Carrboro girls have no superstar, but a tight 44 second gap. DSA and NCSSM seem to get better with every race so far this year, then you have your reigning podium teams in two-time defending team champions Brevard and last years runners-up Smoky Mountain! It's gonna be a fun one in a few weeks!
