Will Scott (Forsyth Country Day)
Scott has been on the Furies varsity squad's PR for two years already and has run 16:46 as an 8th grader. Scott was 8th last year at the NCISAA 3A State Championships and looks primed to fill senior teammate Ben Mitchell's footsteps heading into next season. Scott was the top freshman at WNC Carnival running 17:20 for 19th overall. Scott has run 2:14, 4:46 and 10:26 as an 8th grader and comes in as the top freshman miler based off 8th grade PRs. Scott having two years of 5K experience will bode well for him in the early stages of his freshman year, but it looks like there is a strong freshman class coming in and he's going to have to fight to end the year at the top of the rankings.
