North Carolina's 10 Best Moments from Bojangles Classic!

Kylia Wright of Southeast Raleigh and Tamara Clark of High Point Central had a tight battle indoors in the 55m Dash where they both broke 7 seconds and Clark ran the NC#2 All-Time Indoor mark of 6.89 and Wright NC#3 All-Time of 6.93.  Wright had a lot of momentum coming into this meet with a big win at Wake County's running 11.67.  Wright and Clark were the top two qualifiers in the 100m Dash and Clark was out to the early lead, but Wright had an extra gear down the stretch as she took the win running a NC#1 & NC#9 All-Time 100 of 11.56!

The rematch in the 200 was one that was highly anticipated, at least by me, as Clark is very strong in the 200.  Also throw Jayla Kirkland into the mix making the final even more exciting.  In the prelims Clark was the top seed followed by Kirkland and Wright, all in the same final section side by side.  Wright exploded off the curve winning her second event of the day and making a massive statement!  Clark ran a 24.37 for 2nd, an NC#2 mark.  Kiya Oviosun (Southeast Raleigh) was 10th in 24.79.

I believe both Wright and Clark are scheduled to compete in the Rock Autism Classic Queen of the Track Event this week where they'll race in the 100, 200 & 400.  None the less, this is going to be an awesome match up at the 4A State Championships where Clark is the defending champ in the 100 and 2-time defending champ in the 200.
