One of the finest college coaches around, Scott Simmons of Queens University of Charlotte, will be speaking on Saturday.
Scott has been around at a few colleges now, but has landed at Queens. He just completed his first XC season as the head coach and the Queens' men's team had their most successful season.
Queens won the DII SE Regional title and then finished 15th at the National Championships.
Scott's resume is very impressive . . .
- Five consecutive NAIA Mens National Cross Country Championship Team Titles
- Six Nationals Coach of the Year Honors
- Coached two 2008 Olympic Trial Marathon Qualifiers
- Co-Author of the book "Take the Lead: A revolutionary approach to coaching Cross Country"
All coaches are invited to hear Queens University Coach Scott Simmons who will be speaking at Queens University on Dec. 22nd at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $30. Topics will include Progressing to Championship Season Success and Components That Lead to 5 Consecutive National Titles.
