I'd like to get a bit personal here.
I am thankful for all the wonderful people I've met over the last year or so. Before I became the webmaster for NCRunners.com I thought I knew track & XC around the state. Boy was I wrong! Over the last year or so, I have met so many of you, from athletes to parents to meet directors to coaches. I am honored to be in my position because it has been a very rewarding experience. I am constantly amazed by the quality of professionalism shown by NC's meet directors and coaches. I continue to meet knowledgeable, dedicated individuals who go above and beyond for their athletes.
Athletes . . . you have made my job quite fun. I have talked to so many of you in the last year and I am impressed with all of you. Keep up the hard work! Running is definitely one of the most rewarding activities you can do. Whether you are the fastest or at the back of pack, set goals, strive to reach them, and don't sell yourself short. There is nothing like the feeling of pushing yourself to the limit and achieving personal success. Go for it!
