2007 Teams: Equine Country USA (as of 10/2)
Jacksonville's girls and Topsail's girls are both ranked highly in their respective classifications. Fike is also receiving votes in the 3A polls. Look for the girl's race to go to Jacksonville with a win by Kaitlyn Davis. The battle for 2nd could be a good one between Jacksonville's Ryanna Henderson, Topsail's Zatha Loewen, and Nothern Nash's Hilary McKenney.
The boy's race should go to Nash Central as they are running well as a team. They are also ranked in the top 10 among 3A schools. Zach Brantley of Northern Nash should be the guys winner as he just clocked an impressive 16:06 at the Greensboro Invitational this past weekend. Swansboro's Ben Sterrett, Nash Central's Dillon Hawley, and White Oak's Andre Smith should be a tight battle for 2nd place.

This meet is for 1A and 2A schools only, both private and public. There is talent in this group. Fayetteville Academy has one of the better teams in the state when their top 5 boys are running. They are the favorites to win the 2A NCISAA state title. Village Christian and Fayetteville Academy's girls should battle in this meet and at the state champs at the end of the month.
