JDL Fast Track Invitational Recap

Parkland's Girls Roll On Despite Injuries

The Mustangs' depth has been tested this winter, and so far the team passes with flying colors! With senior "glue girl" Erin Morrison out due to injury the last two weekends, Parkland has still managed to put up big numbers. (Ila Mumford also The biggest came in the 300, where Ebony Williams and Katlyn Sherman ran the 4th- and 5th-fastest 300 times in the nation, 39.05 and 39.06 respectively. Those are the top flat-track times in the country, and they place Williams and Sherman at NC #4 and #5 All-Time.

Parkland wasn't done after the 300, either - in the event where they would most feel the loss of Morrison, a 56-second 400 runner, the Mustangs were able to crank out a 3:57.83 in the 4x400, holding off Wakefield's 3:59.92 (NC #2, US #14).

Earlier in the day, McKinley McNeill ran 1:14.70 in the 500, her second time under 1:15 this season, and Parkland ran 1:40.95 in the 4x200. Williams ran 8.01 in the 55 Hurdles, Sherman improved her season best in the 55 to 7.17. Not a bad day's work!
