Giant Indoor Season Preview, Part 1: Top Sprinters & Hurdlers

Remember, when searching the calendar or the rankings, this is the 2015 Indoor Track season. Returning rankings come from the 2014 Indoor Track season.

Juwan Crowder, Forest Hills, 55 Dash

After one of the most exciting races at JDL Fast Track all winter, Juwan Crowder had proven that he was a national-caliber sprinter by clocking 6.31 in the 55 Dash, losing to Trentavis Friday by only 0.01 seconds. Then it happened - Crowder reached back to grab his hamstring and limped to a gradual stop. The injury affected the rest of his season, limiting him to a 4th-place finish in the 1A/2A State Championship, and it seemed to linger into outdoor season as well. If Crowder is healthy this winter, though, he holds the #2 returning time in the country as well as NC #12 All-Time in the 55. Junior Daniel Estrada comes in at US #6 Returning in this event, and he will be ready to challenge Crowder for the top spot in the 2015 indoor rankings. Also keep an eye oon Daequon Carr, who won the 1A/2A 55 Dash while Crowder was injured, and Nyheim Hines, who exploded with a 10.52 100 Dash in the early Summer.
