In December, I announced the opportunity for XC athletes to travel to Australia and Hawaii. Since that time, the list has grown and I am very excited about the trip. This is the first time that North or South Carolina has ever sent XC runners to the Down Under International Games.
The trip takes place from July 14-25. Athletes will fly out of Charlotte and Raleigh and then meet up in Los Angelas. Our team will first go to Hawaii for training, hanging out/bonding, and fun in the sun. Then we head for Australia to be a part of the month long Down Under Games.
Athletes will be journaling throughout the trip, and many of them will be included on NCRunners. I plan to document the trip while there with video, pictures, and athletes' journals.
Here is a list of the athletes who will be representing North Carolina, South Carolina, and the United States. There are also 6 parents/supporters traveling with the team. (as well as myself of course!)
