Based on the performance list, it looks like the 100 Dash will be a 2-girl battle between Sloan Williams (W-S Prep) and Markiara Staten (Jones). Williams has the fastest time in the classification this season, 12.23, but Staten has run 12.31 and has not been pushed in most of her races. In the 200, though, things could get interesting as Shakai Ward (Elkin) gets involved. Ward is the top seed in that race as well as the 400, where she has the potential to dominate with her season-best 57.13 (3 seconds faster than the nearest competitor). Williams' teammate Deonica Reid will be a factor in the 200, as will Ne'tonya Boddie (Tarboro).
