The race may not have gone exactly as Ryan would have hoped for, but the experience he will hopefully take back to San Diego next year will be huge. Ryan placed 26th overall and 5th for the South team. The South placed 3rd out of the 4 regions.
Ryan's place makes him the 8th returner for next year which is an incredible way to end his season. (note: Girma who is a Jr and finished ahead of Ryan will probably be too old to compete next year.)
