The Hendersonville senior has dominated the throws at the 1A level, and she can compete with anyone in any classification.
You can hear about all the things I think are great about Hailey Cook in the interview. My favorite part of it? She tries to hide on the edge of the camera screen (and tries to angle behind me as well), because she's shy. (Or maybe she just wanted to let everyone see the beautiful view from the AC Reynolds stadium?). Hailey was recently named the NCHSAA's 2013 Female Athlete of the Year, and over her career she has amassed 8 individual state titles (6 outdoor, 2 indoor) and 2 team championships (1 in outdoor track, 1 in volleyball). Those accomplishments speak for themselves, but shy Hailey still spoke well for herself in her interview. If you attend the 1A state meet Friday, you MUST go see her throw!
