Was the success that Cardinal Gibbons had in the 3200 this spring a harbinger of what's to come in cross country season?

While we are in the midst of summer track season, and there are some big meets and great performances still to come, this is also the time that cross country teams are hunkered down and training for the upcoming fall season. As I have been developing the 2012 NCRunners Preseason All-Classes Top 25, one of the factors I used was strength and depth in the 3200 this spring (on the theory that programs that continue to have long-distance success through the spring season have shown signs of development since last fall). I thought I would publish the top 25 returning 3200 teams (scored cross country style) and let that stimulate thought and discussion on the upcoming season. Official practice begins in 26 days!
