North Carolina Future Stars: Hickory Ridge's Nina Dominique


Presenting our newest feature: The Future Stars Series. In this series, we'll take a look at one freshman or sophomore a week that is making a big impact early in their career, and is showing that they are a star in the making.

Hickory Ridge freshman Nina Dominique is this week's North Carolina Future Star! 

Dominique has been on fire to kick off the outdoor season and currently sits NC freshman No. 1 in the 100m and 200m dash, and NC No. 2 overall in both events, as well. Her personal best in the 100m is 11.98, and in the 200m her best is 24.68.

She finished 3rd in the finals of the 55m dash at the NCHSAA 4A Indoor State Championship. She ran a personal best and NC freshman No. 8 all-time 7.14 in the prelims. 

She was 6th at the 2021 AAU Junior Olympic Games 14U in the 100m and 200m finals.
