Elise Wright (TC Roberson) clocked a 3:04 a few weeks back and is ready to contest the 3 minute mark. She will be challenged by Leesville Road teammates Timara Chapman and Noor Hasan. Top entry Melissa Zammitti (Davidson Day) will be attending Virginia Tech Premier Invite instead per her Coach.
Girls 1600
Sarah Bodmer (Cary Academy) enters as the top seed with a 5:15 PR and will go p against Calli Parlier (Apex) and Savannah Jones (Broughton). Lexi King (IMG Academy, Florida formerly Marvin Ridge) is entered in this race, but is also scheduled to compete in the Elite Mile at the David Oliver Classic. Shannon Sefton (Panther Creek) had a break out cross country season and will look to continue her success onto the track.
Girls 3200
Sarah Bodmer (Cary Academy) should be a heavy favorite in this field as her PR is nearly a minute better than the rest of the field. Someone to watch is Faith Roy (South View) who has cut a ton of time off of her 1600 PR so far this indoor season. Roy ran a 5:20 just last Friday.
