2016 Preseason Rank based off 2015 times - 12th

Tabor returns their top 5 and lose a little bit of depth with their 6 and 7 graduating.  Junior Meredith Robert had a strong start to sophomore season, but injury caused her to shut it down after conference.  In the 4 races she ran Roberts ran an 18:50.  Roberts also missed most of the track season but was back on the track towards the end not racing at full strength.  Word is that Roberts is back training well and is healthy as she heads back into the fall XC season.

#2 girl Jenna Lineberry was strong for the Spartans last fall in her first XC season placing 39th at the 4A State Championships.  She ran 5:29 for 1600 and 19:39 on the XC course.  I'd expect her to drop some time off of her PR this season and could be a sub 19 girl.  Brenna Kenny only runs XC for Tabor and hasn't run track in her high school career.  She ran 20:16 in her first meet last season but wasn't consistent throughout the season.  She will be a big asset if she can come into the season in good shape.

Sarah Wells Luke is heading into her second year running XC and only ran four races last season.  Not sure if that was due to injury or just prefers a short XC season.  She was 37th at the Midwest Regional, but ran 20:17 in the first meet of the season last year.  Hopefully Luke can come back healthy this season and could have a big improvement from her current PR. Leah Messenkopf and Tiara Patterson-Mills are both middle distance oriented mainly running 400/800 on the track.  Patterson-Mils ran 58.24 and 2:17.3 last track season.  She races anywhere from 100m to 5K in XC and might be able to step up for her team this XC season.  She also ran 5:43 for 1600 so maybe she can put it together over the long 5K distance this season.
