Last season Panther Creek ended in the top 10 in our database as a team. They had a rough day at the 4A Mideast Regional and took home 5th place and watched the state meet from the sidelines.  The Mideast region will be just as tough this year and Panther Creek are ready to redeem themselves from last year.  They only lose their top guy Alex Carlson and return the rest of their top 7.  Jarred Komyati and Kyle Fawzi return as the top 2 for Panther Creek this season.  Fawzi really exploded on the track this spring running 1:56, and 4:25 for 800 and 1600.  He should be a big game changer for PC this fall and will likely replace Carlson's roll from last year.  Komyati, a rising junior, returns with a 16:24 PR from the regional meet last season.  He ran 10:08 on the track and will hope to get under 16 minutes this XC season.

Christian Alvarez and Drake Schwehm were in the top 5 from last years squad. Schwhem was strong on the track running 4:43 and holds an XC PR of 16:45 from his sophomore season.  He seemed to have a rough end to his season last year.  He has the ability to be really good this season if he can get back into the form he was previously.  Alvarez was just a freshman last fall, but didn't run indoor or outdoor track.  He got better every race last season and if he comes back in good form and stayed in shape during track season he could be a monster this season.

Joey Bream and Zack Forgrave will battle to be Panther Creek's fifth man this season.  Bream is just heading into his sophomore season and was strong on the track.  He ran 4:46 for 1600 and could come into the season in much better form than last year.  Forgrave is much stronger on the XC course than he is on the track.  He is a rising junior and seems to be better over the longer 5K distance. Panther Creek is hungry for redemption this season and I expect to see them on the state meet starting line.
