Jack Puryear of Research Triangle has spent a fair amount of time running for the 1A school's cross country team, but his name hasn't exactly been a staple in the NC Runners news feed. While this could be due in part to the smaller classification, it'd be safe to bet that it has largely to do with the fact that he's just begun making greater strides as a runner (pardon the pun). In his edition of the Senior Spotlight, Jack tells us about ramping up his training and finding his way around some of the obstacles that have been holding him back. As the senior approaches the end of his final high school cross country season, he is beginning to work toward his future as a dedicated student who continues to pursue additional opportunities to compete in the sport.
