Meet Information
This meet will begin at 4:30 PM from the track/stadium area. We would like to honor our seniors just before the meet. This will not take long as we only have 3. We will start the men's race first, exactly one minute later we will start the women's race. All athletes will be running at the same time but for timing purposes their times will be split up at the end. We will use a bib number system for timing. I will distribute those numbers to coaches via email the day before the meet.
Parking: Team busses should park in the lower part of the bus parking lot behind the school. Parents can park in the front or back of the school but if parking in the front parents are not encouraged to arrive until at the earliest 4 in order to avoid conflict with school release at 3:45.
Spectators: Teams and spectators are encouraged to set up in the home side bleachers. The away side will be closed to keep the course clear as runners will be running right in front of the bleachers.
The Course: This course will feature a two lap loop around the perimiter of our campus. The surface will vary throughout the course. The majority is grass but there is some pavement as well as almost 2 laps on the track. Due to the pavement I do not encourage my athletes to wear spikes on our course. If your athletes do choose to wear spikes we ask that they do not use anything other than 1/4 inch pyramid spikes due to the portions of the race that take place on the track. The course can be viewed at the following link, feel free to distribute to your athletes so they can get an idea for how the course goes. I will explain the course in detail at the start of the race.
